QPR get Luke Young


Premier League promotion team Queens Park Rangers re-solidify his power in the back line this season, after recruiting doorstop Aston Villa's Luke Young.


England international was operating as a right back and joined QPR after signing a contract duration of three years, one day after the West London club were recruited Joey Barton of Newcastle United.

Young's presence in his squad makes coach Neil Warnock said he was happy considering the contribution of the player who can operate as a central defender and also on the wing and this is of course a multi-functional player for him.

Ahead of the transfer window closes at the end of this month, QPR had an injection of cash from the owner of the airline Air Asia, Tony Fernandes, who took over ownership of the process some time ago.

While Young said they were delighted with the displacement process.

"There's something big plans and will happen at this club and I was happy to be a part in it from now on, 'proud 32-year-old players.
